I am thoroughly impressed!! That was truly a beautiful song.
"Great hooks, and a soothing vocal track that drips off your speakers
like liquid silk."
The guitar work is equally notable featuring exquisite acoustic
arrangement and ripping electric licks from an up and coming star.
The rhythm and percussion are precise and solid
without being overbearing (adding a professional, polished quality
that complements rather than
attacks). Unlike the typical power ballad, this piece shows genuine
talent and thoughtful lyrics. A sign that this band 20 Grit has great
things
in it's future.
The band 20 Grit, based out of Santa Cruz,Ca. features the strong
talents of local
artists with a flare for details.
Being long residents of this quaint seaside town and the technology
drenched Silicon Valley,
these artists have driven a wedge into the dogmatic repetition of
contemporary rock by creating a sound that is inclusive rather than
exclusive in style (effectively bridging the chasm
between simplistic rock and the complexity of Jazz). This piece,
"Waiting for Sunset" reflects a blend of romance and desire tempered
with the hard edge of today's X-Gen energy. Hinting of a fusion
between Jazz, Rock, R&B, and Pop, this track offers something for
everyone.
Having been largely obscure on the music scene until now,
this band has promise, and merits close attention over the
coming months and years. Lets hope that these individuals
can maintain their obsession with refreshing quality.
This reviewer offers congratulations and thanks for a break
in the modern music clouds.
If anyone has a problem with that.....go fxxx Slim Shady.
